Dr. Sean Ma and Dr. Minnie Nguyen Ma both earned their DDS degrees from Baylor College of Dentistry before completing Advanced General Dentistry Residencies at UT San Antonio—a level of post-doctoral training uncommon in family practices. That residency gave them surgical and cosmetic skills typically reserved for specialists, which means Tech Ridge Dental patients receive comprehensive care under one roof.
Since opening in 2011, the practice has built something rare: continuity. Ellen has been with the team since 2013, bringing her University of New Mexico dental hygiene training and specialized focus on oral cancer screenings. Lucy, a Temple College graduate, grew up in Texas and knows the local community inside and out. The front desk and hygiene team average over eight years at the practice—unusual in an industry where turnover is the norm.

Dr. Sean Ma
Dentist
Dr. Sean Ma grew up in San Antonio and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. After receiving his dental degree, he continued his education with an advanced dental residency at the University of Texas San Antonio dental school. Dr. Sean has extensive training in sedation dentistry, wisdom teeth removal, root canals, and implant dentistry. He takes pride in giving his patients the best options for their dental care and guiding them to make the correct decision for their oral health.
Dr. Sean loves being able to serve the Austin community. In his free time, he enjoys pickleball, esports, and spending time with his wife, 2 kids, and dog.
Dr. "Minnie" Minhha Nguyen Ma
Dentist
Dr. "Minnie" Minhha Nguyen Ma was raised in Arlington, TX and attended Texas A&M University in College Station. She then attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Minnie also did her general dentistry residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio dental school, receiving extensive training in cosmetic, surgery, and implant dentistry. She loves to educate her patients, develop a trusting relationship, and then help them find ways to improve their dental health.
Dr. Minnie is fluent in Vietnamese. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading, cooking and snuggling with her husband, their two kids, Ellie and Evan, and the family dog, Alfred.

Ellen
Dental Hygienist
Ellen has been a part of the TRD team since 2013. She is a native of New Mexico and was inspired by her older sister, who is also a hygienist, to pursue a career in preventative health. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of New Mexico. Ellen has a keen interest in soft tissue abnormalities and takes much pride in her oral cancer screenings. She finds it very rewarding when she is able to develop good relationships with her patients and help them improve their oral condition. Ellen enjoys spending time with hubby, drawing, exploring Austin, and playing endless amounts of indoor and beach volleyball.
Lucy
Dental Hygienist
Lucy is born and raised locally in Temple, TX. She received her degree in dental hygiene from Temple College. Lucy loves to get to know her patients and provide them with the best care possible, patiently explaining treatment options. Lucy has a talent for riding horses and enjoys spending time with her fiance exploring all that Austin has to offer.
Lauren
Dental Assistant
Lauren is our detail oriented dental assistant. Born and raised locally in Thorndale, TX, Lauren comes from a family of 5 siblings! She is very family oriented, always available to take care of her large family. When she’s not driving around Texas to visit her family, Lauren loves to explore Austin and the surrounding areas for fun adventures. Lauren received her dental assisting license from Austin Dental Assisting School in Round Rock, TX.
Ken
Office Manager
Having worked at Dell Inc. in Round Rock and Blizzard Entertainment in Austin and Irvine, CA, Ken takes pride in bringing a successful corporate experience to a small business. He is passionate about bringing customer service to the dental field and believes that with the mentality of serving the patients, along with the expert skills of Dr. Sean and Minnie, Tech Ridge Dental can provide the best experience in dental care. Ken is also an active member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers. Having grown up in San Antonio and having attended the University of Texas at Austin, Ken is a big Spurs fan and Longhorns football fan. When possible, he enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations with his wife and 2 kids.
Lindsey
Schedule Coordinator
Lindsey is originally from San Antonio but has lived in Austin for 10 years. She enjoys greeting every patient with a smile as they walk through the front door. Her personality is as bright as her red hair! In her free time, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, son, cooking and binge watching Netflix.
